Expert Leadership

The Tree House International is led by Sri Lanka’s only Chartered Educational Assessor, Chartered Behavioural Psychologist, Board Certified Behaviour Analysts, and Chartered Scientist Educational. Dr Anton and Ms Honsaker have more than 20 years of global experience in the use of Applied Behaviour Analysis ABA among children with ASD, ADHD and other developmental differences.

 

Comprehensive Assessments

Every student undergoes diagnostic assessments by a Chartered Behavioural Psychologist. Subsequently, individualised targets are created by Chartered Educational Assessors and formative assessments are conducted to understand how each student learns. We provide continuous formative assessment delivered by special needs teachers and led by Behaviour Analysts.

 

Personalised Curriculum

Each student follows an individualised curriculum designed by professionals with over 20 years of global experience in special needs education. Academic learning is based on the UK approved Functional Skills qualification, equivalent to the GCSE, which ensures that learning is practical, measurable, and geared towards independence. Non academic skills are guided by individualised targets and supported through standardised and criterion based checklists, creating a balanced programme that strengthens both academic growth and essential life skills.

 

One to One and Small Group Learning

Programmes are delivered through one to one sessions and small groups to provide focused support while encouraging social interaction. All sessions are led by internationally qualified educators and supervised by Sri Lanka’s only certified Board Certified Behaviour Analysts, Chartered Behavioural Psychologist, and Chartered Scientist Educational.

 

Holistic Development

Our approach extends beyond academics. We look at the child as a whole and identify the challenges they face in becoming independent in society. Beyond academic learning, we focus on communication, extracurricular activities such as bicycle riding, picky eating, toilet training, addressing challenging behaviours, empathy, sensory needs, psychological wellbeing and much more.

Evidence Based Education

Our curriculum integrates Applied Behaviour Analysis ABA, sensory integration, and other scientifically validated approaches. Each lesson and activity is designed to strengthen communication, problem solving, and daily living skills that support meaningful progress beyond the classroom.

 

We are the only institution in Sri Lanka that employs certified behaviour therapists, ensuring that every programme follows recognised international standards of quality and care.

 

All special needs teachers and therapists receive weekly individual and group supervision from both in house experts and international specialists. This ongoing professional guidance ensures that teaching practice remains consistent, ethical, and aligned with the most current scientific developments.
